On Thursday evening, Owasso Police responded quickly to a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty store located on North 121st East Avenue. Their swift action led to the arrest of two women who were trying to steal over $10,600 worth of merchandise.
Details of the Incident
The suspects, 33-year-old Christine Louise Fields and 33-year-old Dameca Dasean Fields, both from Tulsa, were caught attempting to flee the scene with large bags filled with products from the store. Authorities reported that the women exited the store without paying for the items they had taken.
Fortunately, officers were already in the area for another theft report when they received the call about the Ulta store theft. They quickly arrived and managed to intercept the women before they could escape in their vehicle.
Charges and Arrest
Christine Louise Fields now faces several charges, including grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of narcotics, and an outstanding warrant for theft. Dameca Dasean Fields has been charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thanks to the prompt action of the Owasso Police, the stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the store.
Processing and Transfer
After being processed at the Owasso Municipal Jail, both women were transferred to the Tulsa County Jail. The police praised the observant callers who reported the theft and the quick response of the patrol nightshift for the successful arrest of the suspects.
