Amber Alert Canceled, Homicide Investigation Launched
On Wednesday, Delaware police announced that the Amber Alert issued for Nola had been canceled and that the case was now being investigated as a homicide. This decision followed the revelation that Nola’s mother had fabricated details about her daughter’s abduction.
According to a press conference held by the New Castle County Police Department, the mother had initially reported that she was driving in Newark, Delaware, when she pulled over to calm Nola, who was upset. She claimed that a white male approached their vehicle, threatened her with a gun, and took Nola away in a dark-colored SUV driven by a white female.
