Galveston police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of Saturday, June 7, 2025, on 45th Street.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding an aggravated assault in the 4400 block of Avenue M. The victim reported that while leaving the beach at 45th and Seawall, they noticed a dark-colored sedan driving erratically. The sedan stopped at a traffic light, where several women exited the vehicle.
The victim continued driving north on 45th Street, with the sedan closely following them. Suddenly, the sedan passed the victim’s vehicle on the shoulder and began firing multiple rounds at the victim’s car. The victim quickly turned onto a side street and immediately contacted the police.
Upon arrival, officers found several bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle and located shell casings and bullet fragments on the east side of 45th Street in the 1300 block.
The suspect is described as a mixed-ethnicity male in his 20s, believed to be the driver of the dark-colored sedan.
