Plano Fire Rescue contained and extinguished two grass fires on Saturday night along Jupiter Road when fireworks set Lavon Farm grounds ablaze near the end of Plano’s All-American 4th of July fireworks show.
Plano Fire also put out another fire at Oak Point Park. Both fires were caused by fireworks.
No farm animals or people were reported injured. The farm has cows, which were seen Sunday grazing south of the burnt grass.
The fire at Lavon Farms was started by a “malfunction” during the All-American 4th show. For more coverage by local TV news crews, check end of this story.
