Plano outruns McKinney, 56-49; Lone Star, Allen, Frisco, The Colony unbeaten

Plano finished what it started by beating McKinney, 56-49, on Friday after lightning postponed the game that began Thursday.

Plano led, 28-14, at halftime. McKinney had more points in the second half, outscoring Plano, 35-28.

Lovejoy 20, Frisco Reedy 19: Reid Westervelt scored on a 7-yard pass from R.W. Rucker with 10 seconds to go. Reedy is now 4-3.

Frisco Lone Star 63, Independence 14: Lone Star’s defense held Independence (4-2) to under three yards rushing per carry.

On offense, Garret Rangel completed 20 passes for three touchdowns and 338 yards. Rangel averaged 17 yards per completion, and Lone Star (6-0) finished with 582 yards in total offense. The showdown is set for The Colony (6-0), which beat Heritage, 65-32.

Allen is 6-0 after beating Plano East, 45-14.

Rockwall (5-2) defeated Rockwall Heath, 38-17.

Jesuit gave Prosper (5-1) its first loss, 41-14.

Frisco (7-0) beat Lake Dallas, 38-7.

McKinney North (6-1) was too much for Wylie East, 69-7.

Wakeland (4-2) defeated Little Elm, 52-14.

Melissa (4-2) won the rivalry with Anna, 40-7. Anna is now 4-3.

Celina (5-2) towered over Paris, 34-0.

Prestonwood (6-1) beat John Paul II, 22-10.

Tyler Grace defeated McKinney Christian (4-2), 33-12.

Grapevine Faith shut out Frisco Legacy Christian (5-2), 35-0.
