Allen ISD announced Tonya Jasenof as principal of Vaughan Elementary.

Jasenof has served as the assistant principal at Vaughan since 2010.

Before moving to Allen ISD, Jasenof served as an assistant principal at Lovejoy Elementary. She previously taught third grade in both Highland Park ISD and Garland ISD. Jasenof earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce.

“I am incredibly proud to be a Vaughan Viking, and I am grateful to be able to lead this campus,” Jasenof said. “I’m already looking forward to returning to school to begin collaborating with the faculty and staff and helping every student find success.”

Jasenof will also oversee the GATE Academy, Allen ISD’s gifted and talented academy for students in Grades 1-6 that is located within Vaughan Elementary.

“Tonya has been an excellent assistant principal at Vaughan, and we are pleased to see her move into this new leadership role,” Superintendent Dr. Scott Niven said. “Tonya has established relationships with the students, parents, faculty and staff at Vaughan for the past several years, and we know that she will be able to hit the ground running.”

Vaughan Elementary will begin its search for a new assistant principal immediately.
