Updated: Police scanner – Shooting at home in Plano around 8 p.m. Alert to @dfwscanner

If you are in Plano TX around Spring Creek Parkway east of Custer and west of Green Oaks, we are hearing reports on the online scanner about a shooting around 8 p.m. Sunday night.

Stay out of that area. This is between Blue Ridge Trail and Green Oaks.

Plano Police are on scene. Sounds like more than one person has been shot. Sounded like man ran into home and started shooting.

Will update with details once confirmed.

Alert to all police and fire rescue stations.

Updated at 9:30 p.m. – Suspect has been shot by police. Eight dead. One in hospital.

Plano Police Public Information Officer David Tilley describes situation as worst he has heard of since being in Plano.

No word yet but expect Spring Creek to be closed some on Sunday night and Monday for investigation.
