Power out across North Texas for more than 200,000

Straight-line winds, some reaching 83 miles an hour in Tarrant County, have knocked down trees and power lines and spread debris across North Texas this morning. Power is out for about 200,000 North Texans, according to the power company.

Tarrant County was under a pair of tornado warnings, and Collin, Denton, Dallas and Hunt counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning before sunrise this morning.

In Collin County at 3:30 a.m., the storm is blowing through McKinney before passing on to the northeast.

Updated, 4 a.m., expect delays in driving to work and school across the area this morning.
