A Weston man has been charged with murder after a female’s body was found near Weston by Collin County Sheriff’s office on Thursday.
At 8:07 a.m., the Collin County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a man had dragged his girlfriend, and she may be dead.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a female’s body with a rope around her neck in a field off CR 209 near Weston.
Deputies say that 47-year-old Theron Wayne Johnson, 47, of Weston told deputies that the victim placed the rope around her neck and tied it to the vehicle’s bumper.
Johnson was charged with murder at the Collin County Detention Facility. No bond has been set.
The victim has not been identified yet.
