The McKinney Lions Club will host its 58th-annual famous chili supper and silent auction on Feb. 11, 2011, (5:30 – 7:30) at the McKinney High School cafeteria, 1400 Wilson Creek. This is the clubs largest fund raiser of the year which benefits MISD kids that have sight issues.
Cost: $7 for all the chili, cornbread, salad and desserts that you can eat.
Auction: 100 items from individuals and local businesses. Plus, the auction will have its first sports collectibles section that will feature autographs, cards and other sports items.
The Lions Club says the Chili Supper will also include an appearance by Simba the Lion. Kids will want to talk to Simba and you’ll want a memento, so bring your camera for photos with this big lovable Lion.
Tickets: Available from all Lions Club members or at the door Feb. 11.
